EMPLOYMENT
This Division has as its aim, the effective management and avoidance of disputes, and focuses on the following specific area:
· Employment-related contracts,
· Employment issues arising out of the transfer or
restructuring of businesses,
· Retrenchments,
· Strikes,
· Disputes relating to unfair labour practices, discrimination,
occupational health and safety, social security, basic condition
of employment, pension and provident funds and restraints
of trade,
· Compliance with employment equity,
· Chairing of disciplinary hearings.
· Investigation of serious misconduct matters.
· Case presentation and Initiation of disciplinary hearings.
· Facilitation of grievance meetings.
· Handling of CCMA, Bargaining Councils and Labour
Court matters
· General Labour Law advisory services.
· Drafting of Disciplinary Code and Procedures and other
related Codes and Policies.
